Market lifecycle
- Opened
- By its first staker. There is no admin that creates markets and no schedule to keep.
- Line
- Fixed at open and never moves. A market is one ticker, one line, one expiry.
- Duration
- One hour or twenty-four, chosen at open.
- Closed
- Staking stops at expiry. Nothing enters or leaves after that point.
- Settled
- The first winning claim triggers settlement and pays everyone on that side.
Settlement
- Source
- The market re-reads its own price feed at expiry. Not a screenshot, not an API, not a person.
- Comparison
- Strictly greater than the line settles OVER. Exactly on the line settles UNDER.
- Grace period
- If the feed has not published inside the grace window, the market voids.
- Override
- None exists. There is no admin key that can change an outcome.
Money
- Pool
- Both sides pay into one pot. Your odds are your share of the winning side.
- Fee
- 2%, taken from the losing side only. The winning side never pays a fee on its own stake.
- Void
- Every stake returns in full. No fee is taken on a void.
- Gas
- Each participant pays their own. There is no keeper to subsidise.
